Acknowledge God I Kings 8:23

22Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven; 23and he said: “Lord God of Israel, there is no God in heaven above or on earth below like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.

Wow! Solomon has just had the Ark of the Covenant brought into the Temple, which he has just finished building for God’s glory. When the Ark was placed into the Temple, the glory of the Lord filled the House of the Lord and everyone there witnessed this awesome event.

22Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven; 23and he said: “Lord God of Israel, there is no God in heaven above or on earth below like You.

There is no one like God not in heaven nor on earth or anywhere in the universe for that matter. God deserves our adoration and our praise for who He is! He does. There is no excuse for us not to recognize Him for who He is, especially if He has forgiven us of our sin and saved us.

Solomon goes on to acknowledge that God keeps His promises and has made His mercy a priority to those that walk with Him. This prayer is amazing. It is impossible for us not to be thankful to the Lord if we will take the time to recognize who He is and what He has already done and wants to do for us!

You and I have to remember that the desire of God’s heart is to be God in our lives. He wants to be our God and He wants us to be His people. He wants to fight our battles and He wants to bless us and make us a blessing to those around us. Make prayer a priority in your daily walk, acknowledging God for who He is and what He has promised to do for you. God will hear your prayer and He will make a profound difference in the life that you live.

Acknowledge God and walk with the Lord with all your heart!
